John Eales AM
John is Chair of Trajan Group Holdings and a Non-Executive Director of Magellan Financial Group and Flight Centre Travel Group. He has more than two decades of board, governance and growth leadership experience across listed, private and founder-led businesses.
John’s career spans business, sport, investment and high-performance leadership. He has held directorships and advisory roles across a range of sectors, including technology, professional services, healthcare, logistics, education and financial services.
In 2003, John founded Mettle Group, a leadership and culture consultancy, which was acquired by ASX-listed Chandler Macleod in 2007. He has been actively involved in numerous businesses from start-up through to mature enterprise, supporting growth strategies, acquisitions, governance frameworks and capital market transactions. His previous roles include Director and investor positions with Palladium Group, Executive Health Solutions and QM Technologies.
